EXPLANATION
This book test has a single method and that is the "Golden Tossed Out Book."
To perform this effect, simply hand the book to a spectator, ask them to flip to any page and look at the first line at the top of the page. Ask them to think of the longest word on the line, close the book, then hand that book to another spectator. Repeat this process until 6 spectators are each thinking of a word.
Ask the spectators thinking of a word to stand up and explain that you are going to attempt to guess which words they are thinking of. Grab a pad and pen and write down the following six words in order:
-Grateful
-Overcome
-Loverboy
-Dramatic
-Eoduwojin
-Noodles
Reveal the six words on the pad and say "If I got your word, please sit down." All 6 spectators will sit because the longest word on the first line of every page in the book will be one of the six aforementioned words.
For a fun kicker ending, explain that each word when combined actually reveals a hidden word. Underline the first letter of each word. This will reveal the word "G.O.L.D.E.N." which is the name of the main song from the film (the one everyone is going crazy about and may or may not start singing on the spot!)
PRO TIP
If you cannot remember the words off the top of your head (especially the one in Korean) there is a hidden crib built into the back of the book. The last line of text on the back cover contains the 6 "Golden" words in order.
