One question I get asked the most is "What kinds of magic do you perform?" Though I can perform HOURS of material consisting of HUNDREDS of magic effects, I wanted to share my top 10 most popular and most requested pieces that I regularly perform in my act. The BEST Linking Ring Routine You Will EVER See!
This is the most requested piece in Michael's Act. He will magically melt solid steel hoops through a number of different objects such as a his wedding ring, chains, a barblade, and even a solid steel ballbearing. Michael was taught these incredible routines by his mentor Matthew Garrett, and went on to perform them on Penn & Teller Fool Us as well as win 1st place in the "Olympics of Stolling Magic" at the Magic Castle in 2017.

The Invisible Purse!
Imagine Michael handing you a purse frame without the bag. You can see through it. It is completely empty. He then goes on to start pulling seemingly limitless objects from this invisible purse such as cards, coins, sponge balls, and even a bottle of whiskey! Extremely interactive, engaging, and fun! This impossible, interesting, and simply magical object has been Michael's go-to opener for closeup magic for over 10 years!

Mind Reading and Divination!
One of the most powerful things you can do in magic is tell someone what is in their thoughts. Revealing a word, card, family member, etc. is a skill that takes years of practice. Don't be afraid though, it is perfectly safe! Michael will NEVER read deep into anyone's subconscious. Typically he will ask someone to think of a word from a book or choose a card from the deck. Only the most surface level thoughts are revealed!

Magic with Pokémon!
There is nothing more nostalgic than Pokémon! People FLIP OUT as soon as Michael removes the Pokémon cards from the pack! Whether performing with cards from the official Trading Card Game or even making little Pokémon figures magically appear from within a toy Pokéball, there is something extremely fun for all ages. ...and yes, Michael CAN produce a deck full of rare holographic Charizard cards!

Rubik's Cube Impossibilities!
If solving a Rubik's Cube using magic was legal in "The World Cube Association," Michael O'Brien would hold the world record as he can solve a cube in an INSTANT! On top of this, Michael is known to invite a spectator from the audience who has NEVER solved a cube in their life and allows them to solve it LIVE right on stage in front of their family, friends, and colleagues. Definitely one of the more impressive feats in Michael' repertoire!

Time Travel and Impossible Predictions!
The idea of time travel is an interesting plot. Some of the most famous stories ever told are about the ability to travel through time and predict things about the future. Michael is known to make impossible predictions throughout his show that culminate in a grand finale reveal proving he knew the outcomes the entire time. Does this prove Michael is actually from the future?

Expert Sleight of Hand with Cards!
Everyone knows how to perform a card trick. They are one of the first forms of magic everyone learns. But have you ever seen a professional work with cards? I am talking about making cards vanish, appear in your pocket, wallet, shoe, etc. Making cards dance like you have never seen before! Michael has over 20 years of experience performing with cards.... and yes, you definitely want to play Poker with him.

The Cup and the Ball!
This is a classic of magic. Where is the ball? Is it in the cup? In my hand? In my pocket? The Cup and Ball is one of the oldest tricks in the book (literally dates back thousands of years) but Michael is the only one to actually perform the effect IN YOUR HANDS and allow you to make the magic happen. To top it off, a finale surprise that you don't see coming is the perfect ending for this incredible piece of magic history!

Expert Sleight of Hand with Coins!
At one time, Michael was the youngest Magician at the Magic Castle performing magic with coins. Coin magic is some of the most difficult sleight of hand to pull off. Now 20 years later, Michael is continuing to do something impossible with these small pieces of silver such as making them appear, vanish, and even teleport instantly! Michael has been accused of editing his coin magic videos so make sure you see it LIVE to believe it!

Michael's Magical Hat!
Every magician has a magic hat. Most magicians will produce a rabbit from theirs. Michael's magical hat of choice is actually an Irish Paddy Hat AKA Newsboy Cap. Rather than pulling a rabbit from his hat, he tends to produce a Guinness or a bottle of Irish Whiskey! He may on occasion even produce your signed card from his hat as well! Did we mention he loves producing a Guinness? This is another one of those "you need to see it to believe it" moments!
