My 5 Favorite Types of Magic!

There are several types of magic tricks out there! More than you probably think! Of the hundreds of types of magic tricks out there, I have decided to share my Top 5 Favorite Types of Magic Effects! Hope you enjoy!

5. Card Magic

Cards, the magician's piano. Though it is #5 on this list, don't let that fool you. Card Magic is what got me started in magic in the first place! Every magician knows at least 1 card trick and for me it is all about making it visual. Rather than simply having someone pick a card, then find it, I try to make the effect a bit more magical and truly impossible!

4. Mentalism

​Mentalism takes magic to a whole other level. Here magicians experiment with mind reading and mental or psychic-like abilities. The ability to "read someones mind" or even predict the future is super impressive! Here is a video of me making an "Impossible Prediction" using something as common as money. $$$

3. Rubiks Cube

The "Rubik's Cube" has always fascinated me. It is a brilliant puzzle, and the ability to solve one impresses EVERYBODY! It takes a lot of patients, practice, and a great memory to be able to solve one of these bad boys.... Er.. Unless you are a magician... Then you can simply use magic!

2. Coin Magic

​Ask any magician and they will tell you, one of the hardest types of magic to performs Coin Magic. It comes in all different types; One coin routines, multiple coin routines, matrix routines, coins through the table, etc. The one thing I love most about coin magic is how visual it is. It is IMO the most impressive form of magic and overtime I meet another coin worker, I get EXTREMELY excited!

1. Ring Magic

Of all of the different types of magic, my favorite has to be the "Chinese Linking rings," Shoot Ogawa's "Ninja rings" and Matthew Garretts' "Ninja Plus" being my two favorites! The beauty and elegance of any ring routine makes it as much art as it is magic.
