How to Script Your Magic!
Script writing is sometimes a long and stressful process. This week Michael is going to offer a few pointers on how to get your script up and running!
-Brainstorm Ideas: What are some things that you think would make for an interesting presentation? Try to come up with some different themes or ideas that you think would showcase your personality! Try to stick to things you know. Things that you are most comfortable with will be the most natural during your performance.
-Create a Rough Script: Once you have a few presentation ideas brainstormed, try pairing them with the particular effect you are working on. See what works and what doesn’t. Make sure that the script flows well with the effect in question and makes sense.
-Rehearse and Adjust: Once you have a rough script down, rehearse and perform the effect until you become comfortable with it. The more you rehearse, the more natural and less scripted it will sound. Perform the effect for others and overtime you will make adjustments to your patter. Listen to what your audience has to say! You may discover that they can provide some very valuable insight and ideas that you may not have thought of before!
